Bill Maher hosted fellow comedian David Cross on his Club Random Podcast this week, sparking several viral clips in which Maher pushed back hard against Cross for parroting extreme far-left talking points.
Cross mentioned that his own child has two “trans” friends, prompting Maher to flatly reject the notion that kids should be allowed to make life-altering decisions like changing their gender.
Cross then denied that parents are pushing the “trans” identity, even while admitting one of the kids began presenting as the opposite gender at just three years old.

It all started when David Cross revealed his 9-year-old daughter has “trans friends.”
“Wait, she has trans friends in third grade?” Maher asked.

Cross declared, “Nobody is doing this to her,” arguing that the parents were merely supporting the child’s feelings.
Maher responded with biting sarcasm: “They’re agreeing with an eight-year-old — because kids that age are known for their flawless judgment, right?”
The host warned Cross that radical left-wing views like his helped elect Trump and will pave the way for J.D. Vance, as they repel mainstream Americans.
Maher also pushed back on Cross calling himself a Democratic Socialist, prompting loud laughter from Cross when Maher referred to Mamdani as a communist: “No he’s not! No he’s not, Bill!”
During their conversation on racism in America, Cross mentioned Charlie Kirk, the late conservative activist. Maher pushed back, noting that many of the statements branded as racist by Kirk lost their shock value and seemed much milder once proper context was added.
