Users on the leftist-dominated social media platform BlueSky lodged death threats against Alex Jones as his iconic news empire Infowars came to a historic close.

Thursday was Infowars’ last broadcast day, but deranged BlueSky followers of The Onion CEO Ben Collins, whose second attempt to hijack the brand was blocked by a court order late Wednesday, still called for violence against Jones and urged people to kill him.

“Kirk his ass,” one user replied to a post of Collins complaining he had once again been legally bested by Jones, referencing the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

“🔨 to the 💀 already…” a user wrote in another post.

In a more sophisticated death threat, a user commented, “The Sandy Hook parents should band together and give a history lesson about consequences to Alex. If I had to choose, I’m thinking Benito Mussolini would be an interesting place to start.”

The reign of fascist Italian dictator Benito Mussolini came to a violent end in 1945 when he was captured and executed by anti-fascist partisans, who later displayed his body publicly.

Yet another post called to “86 INFOWARS! 🧅” – an old mob term that means to kill someone, or take someone out.

These are the types of violent extremists who are cheering on The Onion’s unlawful efforts to hijack Jones’ Infowars brand, the latest attempt of which was again blocked by a court on Thursday.
