An astonishing aerial phenomenon captured on camera over the weekend featured massive rainbow-streaked clouds, as skeptics suggested it could be chemically induced.
The ultra-rare weather event was witnessed in Jonggol, Indonesia, and prompted traffic disruptions as onlookers tried to capture footage of the awesome sight.

An Indonesian meteorologist attributed the iridescent cloud spectacle to sunlight hitting lingering raindrops in the sky.
“The phenomenon seen in the video is a common occurrence in the atmosphere and is related to atmospheric optics,” said Ida Pramuwardani, Acting Director of Public Meteorology at Indonesia’s Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics BMKG.
“The rainbow colors appear because sunlight interacts with water droplets in the air, either from residual rain or rainfall occurring in other parts of the Sentul area, as seen in the video,” she said, according to Singapore news site TheOnlineCitizen.com.
Here’s another angle:
“At the same time, towering cumulus clouds can be seen covering part of the rainbow, making it appear incomplete or resemble a ‘rainbow cloud’,” Ida said.
“This phenomenon is not a direct sign of an impending storm, but rather indicates the growth of convective clouds and the possibility of localized rainfall in the surrounding area, even if the observation point remains clear or has not experienced rain,” she added.
Social media users were unconvinced and questioned the rare event, commenting that similar colors are seen when light refracts off of chemicals or artificial clouds such as those created by covert government geo-engineering programs, which inject aerosol particles into the stratosphere in efforts to manipulate the weather.
Yeah if you dump chemicals into a puddle of water it also looks like a rainbow…

You trying to tell us this is natural? 🤡🤣

We all know that’s from the metal flakes that they’re putting in the air

You know how else that happens? When the sun reflects off metalic nanoparticles that have been sprayed from an airplane.

I love unique clouds. Last week there was one over my house that looked exactly like a tic-tac-toe board. How do those form?

Because there is no chance it's all the metals in the atmosphere used to stir up storms… NAH, Not That… pic.twitter.com/5Z9GXY5EN1

Oh yeah they always have an answer for these weird things
Can you allow us to edit our posts with more time than we had on Infowars? Also, I can’t go in and see anything I posted in one place for convenience like you could on Infowars. The only way I can see is that you have to go back to the original post. If you fix that it will drive more engagement.
