Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) took Fairfax County Commonwealth, Virginia, District Attorney Steve Descano to task Thursday, blasting the prosecutor for changing his website after he was summoned to testify following the murder of a woman at a bus stop by an illegal alien released by the county.
The fiery exchange took place during a House Judiciary Committee hearing addressing “Fairfax County, Virginia: The Dangerous Consequences of Sanctuary Policies,” with Rep. Jordan holding the Democrat DA’s feet to the fire for releasing Abdul Jalloh, 32, who went on to stab 41-year-old Stephanie Minter at a bus stop in February, despite the DA’s website telling voters he would be mindful of “immigration consequences.”
Asked directly about last-minute changes to his website last month, removing language from his campaign promising voters that “Our office will take immigration consequences into account when making charging and plea decisions,” Descano attempted to skirt rel the question, claiming his office’s policies were being misrepresented.

Descano: "That's not my policy…that is a campaign statement!"

After a tense back-and-forth, Descano addressed the question, stating, “Well, sir, because the website is not my policy. My policy is—you are referring to a campaign statement.”
Taken aback, Rep. Jordan later asked, “So when you make campaign statements, those aren’t true? You’re not being honest with your voters?”
“That’s not what I’m saying at all, sir,” Descano responded, saying discussion of his campaign statement was a distraction.
“This is almost laughable,” Rep. Jordan shot back. “This is your policy. You said it right here. You told the voters, ‘If you elect me, I will take into account immigration consequences when making charging and plea decisions.’”
“This is my policy, not what you have in your hand,” Descano replied while waving around documents, to which Jordan responded, “Oh, okay. So what you said to the voters is not real, doesn’t count?”
“No, sir,” said Descano, adding, “What I’m saying is that, as an officeholder, my office is run by my policy.”
Jordan summarized the situation, saying, “Your sheriff said you wouldn’t prosecute. This guy gets released, kills someone the next day. We start asking about it. You change your website and take down the statements that say you’re going to take into account immigration consequences when you decide who you are going to charge.”
The exchange is illustrative of how elected leaders squirm and try to skirt accountability for their deadly liberal soft-on-crime policies when confronted head-on.

Par for the course, ask Trump campaign statements mean nothing.
This District Attorney isn’t just incompetent, they’re a walking disaster with a law degree, a political mascot pretending to be a prosecutor. When you release an illegal alien with a violent record, ignore every obvious warning sign, and then that person stabs a woman at a bus stop, that’s not “reform.” That’s criminal negligence wearing a suit.
And the worst part?
The piece of shit won’t even own it.
No accountability.
No explanation.
Just the same smug bureaucratic bullshit, like the community is supposed to accept being stabbed as the price of their ideological vanity project.
A DA who makes a reckless release decision and then hides when the consequences hit isn’t a leader, they’re a spineless, lawless scumbag who gambled with someone else’s life and pretends it’s not their fault.
If you’re going to make decisions that put the public at risk, then stand the hell up and take responsibility when it blows up. If you can’t do that, you have no business holding the office.
