OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) — The former director of the CIA issued a warning that Canada has become so deeply infiltrated by agents of Communist China that infiltrators may not even look Chinese but could pass as “white Italian kids.”
Speaking to people gathered in Ottawa for the Canada Strong and Free Conference held on May 7, former U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director Mike Pompeosaid, “I can’t see very much out there, but I will bet you that there are Chinese Communist Party-affiliated people in this room today.”
He noted how, today, many people affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are not even ethnically Chinese. He said that they “look like me; like they’re white Italian kids.”
Pompeo then said that there is not a “single university in the United States that isn’t deeply tied to Chinese money,” with him noting that some Chinese students are involved in what is known as intellectual property theft.
He warned that Canadians, and indeed everyone, should not be worried about China invading Taiwan, but rather the CCP’s influence over large cities in North America.
When it comes to Canadian political leaders, Pompeo said that the current Liberal government of Prime Minister Mark Carney is taking a “misguided” approach in having closer relations with China.
He remarked that he had been asked about it by Conservative MP Shuvaloy Majumdar.
According to Pompeo, he said in his answer, China will “sell your nation’s values down the river in two seconds.”
He said that Canada needs to “move past the irritation and remember who the people are that share your values.”
Pompeo served was CIA director from 2017 to 2018, and U.S. secretary of state from 2018 to 2021.
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre also spoke at the event and blasted Carney’s new cozy relations with China.
“We must reject the idea of a permanent rupture with our biggest customer—which buys two-thirds of our goods—in favour of a strategic partnership for a ‘new world order’ with Beijing,” he told conference attendees.
The Liberal government under Carney has established friendly relations with China. Indeed, Carney was recently in China, where he said Canada’s relationship with China is more “predictable” than with the U.S. under President Donald Trump.
He also made a deal with China related to Canadian agricultural products such as canola while trying to get tariffs removed. In exchange, Canada agreed to drop massive tariffs on Chinese-made EVs and import thousands of them next year.
The EV deal has been blasted as being bad for Canada. Indeed, a former Canadian intelligence officer directly warned Canadian MPs that Chinese cars, notably electric ones, pose a risk to the nation’s electrical grid and are a direct surveillance threat.
LifeSiteNews also reported on an exposé saying that Carney and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are influenced by an “elite network” of foreign actors, including those with ties to China and the World Economic Forum.
China has a long history of going after Canadian MPs, academics, political parties, and local ethnic and spiritual groups who are critical of the country.
China has been accused of meddling in Canada’s elections, as reported by LifeSiteNews.
Regarding the CCP’s relationship with Canada, the final report from the Foreign Interference Commission concluded that operatives from China may have had a hand in helping to elect a handful of MPs in both the 2019 and 2021 Canadian federal elections. It also concluded that China was the primary foreign interference threat to Canada.

Canadians are woke and naive.
I bet Pompeo did little about Red China agents when he was in office. And I bet Pompeo had his deep state agents corrupting things in the USA too.
