According to The New York Times, billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel is so worried about the deteriorating state of America that he’s purchased a mansion in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved his family to the Latin American country.

Thiel, his husband and their four surrogate children are reportedly all relocating from living in Florida and California to one of Argentina’s “most exclusive neighborhoods.”

The Times notes the South American nation is “relatively insulated from potential conflicts in the Northern Hemisphere” and will be a safer place to live amid potential threats Thiel has repeatedly warned of, such as “nuclear war and runaway artificial intelligence.”

Already integrating himself with Argentine society, Thiel has joined the Buenos Aires chess club, met with the country’s president, Javier Milei, “and hosted a dinner with local economists where he discussed the Antichrist, one of his favorite conversation topics.”

Actor and stand-up comic Duncan Trussell said during a recent podcast that he believes Thiel wants to alter mankind’s destiny as foretold in the Bible’s Book of Revelation.

Trussell attended a Thiel lecture about the coming of the Antichrist, saying it’s bizarre that he’s been a key player in the transhumanist movement while simultaneously seeking to prevent or alter the incoming apocalypse.

Mocking Thiel’s obsession with the Antichrist, popular 𝕏 account Autism Capital pointed out “Peter Thiel is an anagram for The Reptile.”

Skeptical internet researcher @thedreydossier noted it’s more likely that Thiel is shopping for the next country he can optimize than “fleeing” conditions in the U.S.
