Hillary Clinton slammed Joe Biden during a recent panel, criticizing the former president for pursuing reelection before abandoning his campaign mere months before the 2024 contest – which she blames for President Trump’s return to office.
Clinton made the remarks on-stage at a New Yorker event in New York City Monday, saying Biden’s late decision to ditch his presidential ambitions – thereby narrowing runner-up candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign window – would forever tarnish his reputation.
“He made a terrible mistake. He made a terrible mistake for himself, his legacy, and for the country,” Clinton stated. “He had said that he would not run again. And counterfactual narratives are always a bit tricky.”
She continued: “But I believe if he had kept to that plan and said, in, say, the late summer of ’23, that he wasn’t going to run, that he was going to pass, you know, the torch to the next generation, we would have had a real contest.”
“And very sadly, I believe whoever emerged from that contest, whether it was the vice president or a governor or a senator or anybody else, would have beaten Donald Trump.”
“So I think it was a terrible miscalculation on the part of President Biden,” the former secretary of state added. “But once he didn’t move, and and did not, you know, admit that he had said he was going to step aside and then decided not to, and held on for as long as he did, we were in a terrible dilemma.”
Biden stepped away from the 2024 presidential campaign less than a month after a devastating debate performance against Donald Trump.

Looking back, Hilary would have been a much better choice than Trump. That is how bad Trump happens to be. At least under Hillary we would have under $1.50 gas 😉
The USA is not even a white nation anymore. It’s something else, something dumber, cruder with a half frizzle-confused DNA result to it.
