Jones also told Nawfal Trump was manipulated into the war with false intelligence promising the Iranian regime would collapse in four days, and that once it backfired on the economy and his midterm numbers, he started hunting for an exit ramp that Israel keeps blocking.

“Trump tied himself closely to these networks before, and now he’s frustrated that Israeli officials keep trying to dictate his moves,” Nawfal added. “So he’s going around them. Jones says Trump is bypassing Israel to open direct back-channels with Iran and Arab states, and has allegedly reached out to Netanyahu’s own political opposition to send an unmistakable signal: his support is no longer guaranteed. In Jones’s telling, Trump wants to be the boss of this relationship, full stop.”
