President Trump singled out communism as the “most serious threat” to America since its founding, at an event at the Washington Hilton.
Speaking on Friday night at the hotel where an assassination attempt was foiled during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the President warned that radical leftwingers want to destroy America and its traditions.
“This is the most serious threat to our country since its existence, in my opinion, 250 years ago,” Trump said.
“They will close your churches in this country, if they go communist, and they’re trying to. They will kill your people, and that’s what they’re about. They want to end religion, they have to end religion, because their ideology doesn’t work if you have strong religion.”
President Trump referred to the recent elections in New York, in which three radical candidates won their primary races thanks to endorsements from New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
“And as you saw with the communists elected in New York City recently, they’re communists; they’re not social democrats. They want to completely destroy the traditional American way of life.”
President Trump continued by explaining that communism “is very easy to sell”; although its effects are devastating.
“You‘ll live in squalor, there will be no food, there will be no housing, there will be no military, there will be no law and order, there will be no nothing. You’ll be a third world inhabitant in every way. And everyone will suffer or die.”
President Trump also said that this has been “happening for thousands of years…by different names.”
The remarks, at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference, were President Trump’s first at the venue where a lone gunman attempted to storm the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and kill him, at the end of April.
President Trump has consistently warned about the threat of communism, not only to America but also globally.
At the UN General Assembly meeting in 2019, he said communism had killed 100 million people in the twentieth century, and he condemned the “brutal oppression” of ordinary people in countries like Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.

I think Democracy protecting all comers is the biggest threat. Everyone has the right to do what they wilt and that is the crux of the problem. Communism blossoming out is just one symptom of that.
The truth is the US government funded, armed and aided in the creation of every Communist government in power since the end of WWII. One of the greatest US generals of all time, General MacArthur, adamantly opposed this and began to make public what the government was doing. Truman fired him to prevent the Korean War from ending as a decisive military victory for America. He and Eisenhower tried to warn the country that the US government had been compromised by the military industrial complex and Communist infiltrators. Create the problem, offer the solution at taxpayers expense and keep the war machine turning indefinitely while rewriting history for the textbooks.

The Justice Department has effectively conceded it is violating the law Congress passed last November requiring the public release of the vast majority of records relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a federal judge declared Thursday.
U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche essentially admitted the violations by failing to address allegations from independent journalist Katie Phang in a lawsuit seeking broader access to the records — including allegations against President Donald Trump.
“The Attorney General does not respond substantively to any of these arguments,” Sullivan, an appointee of President Bill Clinton, wrote in the opinion. “The Attorney General has conceded that he is in violation of the Act.”
