Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) shut down a reporter probing false allegations claiming he had an affair with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), turning the tables on him and asking instead about his alleged gay porn viewing habits.
The reporter, Nicholas Ballasy, who said he worked for Fox News Digital, caught up with Massie in DC on Sunday, asking the outgoing congressman about claims made by his ex Cynthia West alleging he made her sign an NDA.
“It’s all false,” Massie responded after asking who the reporter worked for.
Despite the congressman’s denial, Ballasy pressed the issue, demanding to know whether he’d carried on an affair with Boebert.
“It’s all false,” Massie repeated.
Next the reporter asked whether Massie believed West had invented the allegations to tarnish his reputation ahead of last month’s primary election.
“When did you all become a tabloid?” Massie followed up, adding, “Seriously dude.”
At this point, the congressman took out his phone and began interviewing Ballasy, saying, “So let me ask you, I heard that you like gay porn. Is that true?”
The reporter was visibly caught off-guard and taken aback by Massie’s question, at which point he claimed he was just trying to give Massie an opportunity to respond to the allegations.
“I’m giving you a chance to give me your side,” Massie told Ballasy, as the reporter began walking away from the conversation. “Are you a real news organization or not?”
“Come back, man,” Massie remarked as he pursued the fleeing reporter. “All you gotta say is you don’t like it, that you haven’t been to those websites”
“Of course I don’t like it,” Ballasy claimed as he tried to walk away.
“Really?” Massie asked. “That’s not what I heard.”
Massie’s video confronting the reporter received over 6.2 million views on X as of writing.
The exchange is essentially a crash course in how to shutdown argumentative mainstream media reporters who won’t accept basic answers to false allegations.
Here’s Ballasy’s video from the other side of the confrontation:
On X, Ballasy wrote Massie had “made up that question on the fly,” adding, “it’s based on nothing and it’s pretty sick that was the first thing on his mind.”
Rep. Boebert had shot down claims about a sexual encounter with Massie during an ambush interview with the same reporter earlier this month, telling Ballasy “Fuck you, first of all.”

I would support Thomas Massie running for President. His slogan could be “Massie for President–He doesn’t eat children”. That alone would be a step in the right direction.
