Russian Recruits Have 20-minute Lifespan on Ukrainian Frontline

New Russian recruits have a life-expectancy of around 20 minutes on the Ukrainian frontline, according to a shocking new report.

According to The New York Post, “Once a soldier is signed up to fight, he can expect to live for just 10 days to three weeks—from arrival at the training ground to death in combat, according to historian Peter Frankopan in an op-ed for Foreign Policy, citing Russian military bloggers.

“As the bloody conflict in Ukraine approaches the four and a half year mark, Russian military brass are desperately seeking new soldiers for Putin’s meat grinder.”

Russian recruitment numbers are said to be down 30% this year, after over 400,000 men were recruited in 2025 on year-long contracts.

Military bloggers claim Russia is now recruiting between 800 and 1,000 new contract soldiers every day, and giving them only a few days of combat training before rushing them to the frontline.

It’s estimated that average monthly casualties for Russia are more than 30,000, with more than a million total casualties since the war started in February 2022.

Estimates also suggest Russia is suffering casualties at a ratio of 8:1 compared with Ukraine.

The enormous casualties are being blamed on Ukraine’s effective use of drones, which have also been used to strike targets deep inside Russia, including vital energy infrastructure.

Drones have reduced Russia’s oil-refining capacity by over 700,000 barrels a day, and more than half of all the country’s regions are rationing oil.

Russia is now spending more than half its state budget on the military.

Some experts are warning the Russian economy is on the bring of collapse, while others say the desperate circumstances may embolden Putin.

Yesterday, Alex Jones Live reported that Ukraine struck the oil terminal that serves Moscow, for the second time this month, as President Zelensky looks to force President Putin to the negotiating table.

The strike is part of a new 40-day “influence operation” that aims to bring war—which has now rumbled on for longer than the First World War—to an end.

Multiple drones hit the Vtorovo station, 140 miles east of Moscow, according to Ukraine’s military intelligence.

In a post on Telegram, the intelligence service said, “Each affected facility means fewer resources for waging war and a higher price the Kremlin is forced to pay for continuing the aggression.”

The station, run by the state-owned Transneft, supplies diesel fuel to depots around the Russian capital, airports and export hubs on the Baltic.

It was previously hit on 10 June.

Ukraine also targeted a key industrial facility in Volgograd yesterday, using long-range Flamingo missiles.

The Titan-Barrikady plant, 550 miles from the Ukrainian border, is used to make artillery.

“Every Russian defense facility that serves the war against Ukraine is a just target,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X.

“The reach of Ukraine’s long-range weapons continues to expand. And it is precisely our pressure, day after day, that lays the groundwork for a dignified peace in the end.”

President Zelensky announced the new “influence operation” this week, with the aim of “compelling [Russia] to end the war” through highly targeted strikes on key facilities within Russia.

It has been reported that President Trump is now reconsidering his understanding with President Putin, agreed in Alaska last year, that Ukraine would be required to cede the Donbas region to Russia.

Russia has responded to Ukraine’s offensive in kind, striking targets across the country with thousands of drones, guided bombs and missiles.
