I miss the old Alex too. I was talking to some police officers in a large city in North Texas recently. They told me that a lot of them listened to Alex every day until about 2 years ago when “he lost his way.” They said something happened to him about that time and he flipped.

When an on-the-outs MAGA splinter group starts talking about RINOs, “never-Trumpers” and “co-opting” you know someone is furiously building a framework of excuses to sneakily abandon what’s left of their integrity as conservatives and go running back to the proven snake-in-the-grass Trump.
They realize that others might notice their obvious hypocrisy, so their new angle is to say that conservatives of principle who would dare withhold their support for Trump are betraying “the movement”, not the demented liar no one likes anymore.
That might have worked if everyone on Earth didn’t already know that MAGA is a totalitarian cult hopelessly devoted to Trump as its “dear leader”, around whom it sprang, continues to be defined, and without whom cannot exist.
The greedy Republican party cynically walked away from its principles, sacrificed its integrity and fed itself to Trump in a foolish grab for “permanent power” over Democrats, and now, deep in its belly, finds out too late that the Trump serpent’s promise was a lie.
A vote for a Republican is a vote for Trump, regardless of whether his name is on the ballot, which means that for desperate Republican campaigns struggling with the Trump anchor around their neck it’s imperative that the election somehow be “not about Trump”, even though after the last two years it couldn’t possibly be otherwise.

MAGA is just a campaign tagline for a movement that predates Chump, which he pandered to get the votes to get himself elected. You think he “invented” the idea that illegal immigration is bad, the economy in decline, and the federal government having grown too big and too corrupt? The John Birch society back in the 50s was warning about illegal immigration and its effect on crime, the economy, and the welfare state. Chump was still pals with the Clintons and getting invites to Chelsea and Soro’s wedding, and calling himself a Democrat, back when the MAGA movement was called the Tea Party, the Contract with America, the Reagan Revolution and all the way back to the original proponents of the Constitution and small government & free market principles with the Founding Fathers. 100% of Democrat politicians are aligned with the UniParty because of how tightly they control the party. Everyone has to lock arms and goosestep like Good German’s to the party’s agenda and vote accordingly. Among the GOP, about 75% of the party are Establishment RINOs representing the right wing of the Uniparty with about a quarter of the party believing in core American principles. You can write-in your hero’s of Chairman Mao, Castro, Kim Jung Un, Mamdani, or Bernie Sanders all you want, the reality is it boils down to two choices and picking the lesser of two evils. The federal government prevented that scenario from happening under the old Roe vs Wade ruling. They never had the authority to require vaccination from anyone outside of federal employees in the first place, and the previous Supreme Court ruling on Roe vs Wade prevented states from violating bodily autonomy. So, the USSC revisited and reversed that decision – to the fanfare of MAGA sheep – paving the way for states to violate bodily/medical autonomy for the next plandemic in the future.
