“The Massie Revolution,” a new hour-long documentary by Dissident Media, focuses on Congressman Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) carrying on the legacy of longtime Texas Congressman Ron Paul and what the future of the Libertarian/Republican “liberty movement“ holds.
The film begins by contrasting Massie’s rise in popularity among the Libertarian-leaning faction of the GOP with President Donald Trump’s bizarre hatred for the well liked Kentucky Republican.
President Trump first publicly opposed Thomas Massie in March 2020, criticizing him as a “third rate grandstander” when he tried to delay the $2.2 trillion CARES Act in the House.
POTUS then reversed course in May 2022 by endorsing Massie for re-election and praising him as a “conservative warrior” who staunchly defends the Constitution.
However, the brief period of support did not last long as Trump again turned against Massie in 2025, starting a years-long crusade against the congressman and backing his primary challenger in the 2026 midterm primary.
Trump’s newfound opposition to Massie came after the GOP rep. supported a full release of the Epstein files and repeatedly criticized Israel’s influence over U.S. politicians and policies.
The documentary also touched on Massie’s actions during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he pushed back against lockdowns, vaccine mandates and other authoritarian measures.
The Israel/U.S. war with Iran initiated another point of contention between Massie and Trump, with the former opposing military action in the Middle East nation.
Another phase of the film highlighted Massie’s background and home life where he lives on a farm in a house he built with his bare hands using his engineering knowledge to maintain his property.
Later, several prominent figures featured in the film promoted the idea of Massie picking up where Ron Paul left off and taking the lead of the liberty movement that was recently discarded, shunned and spit on by President Trump.
The disillusioned faction of MAGA is looking for someone to run for President in 2028 who might actually stay loyal to their anti-war, anti-spy state beliefs and Congressman Massie might be the man for the job.

And this will fail, just as Trumpism did — and for the same fundamental reasons: GOVERNMENT DOESN’T WORK.
There should be a coalition with the left who agree on major issues. Each side would promise not to push the things we disagree on, except work a deal to enforce the border. I think if we ease off the “gotcha” deportations they would be okay with strong border enforcement. I would prefer to have mass deportations, but it’s too pricey politically right now. Solve the problems of corporate and foreign money going to our politicians, national debt, grid shortages due to AI with nuclear power and other solutions, resolve inflation, no more wars, etc.
Definitely interesting, I’d rock a Massie 2028 sticker next to a Ron Paul 2012 sticker.
