Authorities have identified a violent criminal who was struck and killed by a plane on an active runway in Colorado over the weekend.

On Friday night, 41-year-old Michael Mott scaled a fence at Denver International Airport and walked onto the tarmac, as we previously reported.

Frontier Flight 4345 was in the process of taking off when Mott was hit and sucked into the engine.

Pilots aborted takeoff and 231 souls onboard were promptly evacuated and bussed to the terminal, with five passengers requiring hospitalization.

Investigators were able to identify Mott via fingerprints found at the scene, but it remains unclear how he reached the airport perimeter, as no vehicle or bicycle were located in the area from which he entered.

Mott had a criminal history dating back decades, with more than 20 arrests in Colorado since 2002, according to records obtained by the New York Post.

In 2005, Mott was charged with attempted murder with a firearm.

He was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading down to second-degree assault causing serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon.

Mott’s other charges over the years include felony assault using a weapon (while incarcerated), felony domestic violence, burglary, menacing, assault, DUI, hit-and-run, trespassing, fighting in public, violating protection orders, and resisting arrest on multiple occasions.

In 2020, he was arrested for assault on a peace officer, but charges in that case were dismissed.

Mott was most recently charged in Colorado Springs for first-degree trespassing, damaging property, and resisting arrest on April 10, but was back on the loose for reasons that remain unclear.

On Tuesday, Denver Chief Medical Examiner Sterling McLaren announced that Mott’s cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries sustained during an act of suicide.

No suicide note has been found and authorities are still working to locate any relatives or friends of Mott, according to the latest available updates.
