Deport EVERY Illegal, Not Just ‘Worst of the Worst’ – Former DHS Spokeswoman

The Trump administration has cracked down on illegal migration in historic fashion, but removals must be scaled up dramatically in order to deliver on the promise of mass deportations, according to a former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official.

“Let’s shoot for 12 million this year, and then maybe double that,” Katie Zacharia told Border Hawk in a new interview.

Zacharia, a high-profile attorney from California who briefly served as DHS spokeswoman earlier this year, says every illegal alien who does not self-deport must be removed from U.S. soil.

“I hope we still see mass deportations. That would be the best thing for our republic, and it would be truly the best thing for President Trump’s legacy to effectuate these deportations, and then people can come here the right way. They can come here legally,” Zacharia said.

“You have to do what you say you’re going to do. If we said we’re going to mass deport, we need to mass deport. And what does that mean? We need to go after every single person who’s not just a ‘worst of the worst’ — every single person who is here illegally.”

When asked to address retired U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino’s stunning claims there may be 100 million illegal aliens living in the country, Zacharia signaled his estimate may very well be accurate.

“I do want to highlight that that number is a baseline targeted number. We’re not just speculating here,” she asserted.

“If there are 100 million people, that’s [about] one quarter of our population, that sounds about right.”

Zacharia explained that her stint at DHS was brief due to significant personnel changes at the time, the strain it placed on her family as a mother of four, and because she feels better equipped to battle open-borders radicals as a private citizen who appears frequently on cable news programs.

“I think that I am much more effective on the outside because I can call out — hardcore — our sanctuary governor, our sanctuary mayor, and really take it to task on a real-time basis, especially as we head into this midterm elections and also into the gubernatorial for California,” she said.

“We are now a much safer country under President Trump, because he turned up the heat on actually protecting our border and protecting our interior. And so, I was very excited to be able to have the opportunity to really defend President Trump’s primary mission, which was to secure the homeland.”
