A lesbian cop in Nashville, Tenn., explains how she goes around to businesses asking them to provide safe spaces for “victims of hate crimes,” in a video shared by the city’s mayor.
The video, published on Democrat Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s YouTube page this week commemorating Pride month, features “LGBTQ Liaison” Officer Stechman outlining how her job involves visiting businesses to see if they want to participate in the city’s “safe space” initiative, where business owners agree to provide hate crime victims with protected spaces.
“It’s basically a safe place essentially for any victim of any hate crime whatsoever to come into the business, inform the business owners or the employees what happened to them, and then that business is responsible for keeping the victim in a safe public spot and then calling 911 on the behalf,” Stechman explained.
Footage featured the cop putting stickers with rainbow cop shields on businesses that read, “REPORT HATE CRIMES” and “SAFE PLACE,” stating that “This location is a SAFE PLACE for victims of Anti-LGBTQ crimes and harassment to call 911 and wait for police to arrive.”
The pro-gay initiative drew backlash on social media, with conservatives arguing it allows businesses to target or discriminate against people who oppose or disagree with the woke leftist LGBTQ indoctrination cult.

Meanwhile, Nashville is the same city where transgender shooter Audrey Hale carried out a mass murder at The Covenant School in March 2023 killing three children and three adults, raising the question as to whether cops should prioritize identifying and intervening in LGBT individuals exhibiting severe mental health issues.
