What’s with the war against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)?
There are protests and riots directed against ICE. State and local officials are seeking to sabotage its efforts. A significant portion of the public is being turned against the agency and its mission.
Here are examples of what the mainstream media has been reporting:
Nationwide protest wave: From Albany to San Jose, demonstrations target detentions, new ICE facilities, and enforcement tactics, drawing hundreds of participants
Legal aid boost: Faith leaders in Santa Clara County pledged $15,000 for immigration legal defense, complementing past city funding for rapid-response services
Escalating tensions: Hunger strikes, clashes outside detention centers, and political involvement signal growing confrontation between activists and federal authorities
The current conflict at the Delaney Hall ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey, seems to be the hottest spot at the moment.
Border Hawk’s Wid Lyman has been on the ground there.
Some of our esteemed state and local officials should be forced to answer for much.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul has signed laws “curbing” ICE. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have created similar impediments.
So how does this work? How does a state governor outrank a federal agency?
This has been building up for years in so-called “sanctuary” jurisdictions, in which a municipality or state government just decides to not cooperate with immigration authorities.
The Trump administration needs to get a hold of the situation.
President Trump should wrap up the Iran mission and pay more attention to our own National Question.
I don’t want Iran to have a nuke either, but our national sovereignty is already being nuked from within. We need to defend against that.
If the water in the bathtub is running over, the first step is turning off the faucet.
The second step is getting rid of the extra water.
Trump did an excellent job shutting down the border crisis. Trump was so effective, people have forgotten how bad it was!
But now we have to get all of the illegal aliens out of the country, no questions asked and no apologies.
When we say “Deport Illegal Aliens,” we mean all illegal aliens, whether or not they have committed other crimes, because their illegal status in the U.S. is breaking the law enough.
Yes, we are detaining and deporting illegal aliens, but many more need to be arrested and removed.
I would like to see Trump and other officials speak out more on this issue.
I appreciate what our new Secretary of Homeland Security, Okie Markwayne Mullin, had to say about the food at Delaney Hall, where some illegal alien detainees were complaining about not receiving “culturally specific meals.”
Boohoo, what a tragedy.
Secretary Mullin responded with this good one: “Well, they can go back to their country, get whatever food they want. The fact is, we’re giving them the calories they want. This isn’t Holiday Inn.”
Way to go, Secretary Mullin!
Congressmen Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Dan Goldman (D-NY) showed up at Delaney Hall last week, as we reported.
“They are making the conditions so unbearable that they [the innocent victims] would rather go home to their own countries, many of which they escaped because of terrible conditions, and what they’re realizing is that the conditions of the United States of America are worse than the conditions of countries with dictators and fascist leaders,” Rep. Goldman claimed.
Wow, does Rep. Goldman really believe that?
If so, he ought to be getting those detainees on the first airplane out of the U.S.A. and back to their native countries.
