Multiple homeless people living in Los Angeles’ Skid Row claimed they’d been paid to sign voter registration forms, corroborating reports by journalist James O’Keefe, an investigation by Fox 11 Los Angeles uncovered.
In a report following this week’s guilty plea entered by petition circulator Brenda Armstrong, who was seen in O’Keefe’s video offering cash for signatures, Fox 11’s Matthew Seedorff interviewed members of LA’s homeless community, who verified that collectors often visit Skid Row seeking signatures on voter registrations, ballot initiatives and more.
“They’re just trying to collect signatures, get paid. And so in return, they’ll offer you a few bucks. And there you go. On your merry way,” one woman told the reporter.
Multiple other individuals described being offered cash and cigarettes in exchange for signatures on petitions and forms that often have other people’s names already pre-filled.
Petition circulators also brazenly collect signatures right outside of city hall.
Inquiring about claims by the California Post that a homeless facility with 120 beds had 1,160 people registered, Fox 11 was told by the LA County registrar that “individuals experiencing homelessness may register by identifying a location where they regularly stay.”
Fox 11’s report follows another citizen journalist’s investigation where he found several homeless people attesting they received payment to vote for incumbent Democrat Mayor Karen Bass and Raman.
Back in March, journalist James O’Keefe posed as a homeless person to get the inside scoop on the illegal cash-for-signatures scheme, which ultimately led to federal charges against Armstrong.
The reports come as LA mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt suspiciously slipped into third place this week behind Democrat city councilwoman Nithya Raman after holding a commanding lead, as vote tallies in the city were delayed for longer than a week, with President Donald Trump blasting Democrats for stealing the vote.
Federal investigators have since launched multiple election fraud investigations in California, according to US Attorney Bill Essayli, who stated last Friday there was evidence of voter fraud.

Great reporting, Alex. TIP OF THE SPEAR!!!!!!!!!!
This stuff has been going on for decades. The foot soldiers are the grassroots union members, usually the Laborers or Ascme goon squads. It’s standard operating procedure by the Dems in every state. When I still lived in Illinois. I was in the booth when a woman a few booths downs screamed our “Who do I vote for again? ” I walked out and the union guy waiting for her handed her a carton of cigarettes and walked her over to the liquor store. I was stunned, but shouldn’t have been. An hour later I called the county clerk and reported the incident. She told me she couldn’t act on it because I had already left the precinct voting station. I argued with her and after ten minutes hung the phone up on her. She was a Republican clerk. Small wonder we are in a mess.
… they’d been paid
