White students now comprise less than half of all Americans at school, from nursery through to graduate study, according to US census data.
Enrolment of white students—classified as non-Latino and non-mixed-race—fell from 46.7 million in 2000 to 36.6 million in 2024.
That means white students are now just 48.8% of all Americans in public, private and homeschool systems.
Latino enrolment, by contrast, grew from 10.2 million to 18.4 million over the same period
Latinos are now 24.4% of all students.
The demographic shift is most pronounced among nursery and K-12 segments, where white non-Hispanic children are just 47% of nursery and kindergarten students and 48% of elementary and high-school students.
Higher education is the sole segment where white students remain the majority, though only just—51%.
Hispanic enrolment in college remains significantly lower than white enrolment—37.3% versus 53.9%.
In addition to the effects of mass immigration, Hispanics have had the highest birth rate in the US for some time. The 2022-2024 average was 64.3 for Hispanics, compared to 51.4 for whites.
In 2024, white births fell below 50%—49.6%—with all other groups combined at 50.4%.

When I was in school from 1984 to 1996,most of scools were 99.5% White, Now , lool at the stats now, 99.5% non white, in less than 20 years.

Public school systems will be forced to slow down the curriculum to appease non English speaking students. So if your a white kid, sitting in the back row, your not going to be happy that your 2 or 3 years behind those who can afford private schools or even church schools. If a nation can start rebuilding itself with the little ones, then that is a good thing. I am happy that those who made it to America have the opportunity to be educated. Maybe this would be a better world, if children get that education rather than hanging out in the hood and living a ghetto life style. It makes sense.
Meantime, church schools which push education expectations up a notch, are not given vouchers and must depend on parent funded enrollment. If there are any rotary club members out there who might consider sponsoring raffles or auctions, anything to raise funds to support your local church schools, that would be appreciated. The state of Pennsylvania, for example, shuts down church schools unless their enrollment meets a certain criteria.
Bush ushered in the whole No Child Left Behind scam of dumbing down public education. Regardless, most kids will be thrilled with an easier path. Generation Snowflake doesn’t care about real academic excellence or working hard during their formative years. They care about their artificially high GPAs and being graded on a curb, their easily obtained student loans, and more of the same at the college level as they pursue their degrees in Thinkology that require only rote learning and class participation. Credentials mean more than competence, especially with loser mentalities that believe AI will steal the entire job market in a couple of years and the only way you get ahead is by lying, cheating, and putting forth minimal effort for artificially padded maximum results. There’s entirely new degrees that pander to this self-absorbed and lazy nature of today’s youth, like programs dedicated to social media that prepare students for YouTube careers.
