Convicted murderer Karmelo Anthony cried and confessed to stabbing Texas teenager Austin Metcalf in newly released bodycam footage.
Anthony told cops on the scene of the stabbing, “I’m not alleged: I did it.”
The video, which featured as evidence during Anthony’s trial, was released by Collin County on Friday.
It shows 17-year-old Anthony as he was detained near the scene of the fatal stabbing at a school track meet in Frisco.
A school officer radios dispatch that he has the “alleged suspect” in custody, to which Anthony can be heard responding that he carried out the stabbing.
Anthony can then be heard claiming he was justified because Metcalf touched him after being warned not to.
“I’m not alleged. I did it. He put his hands on me. I told him not to. He put his hands on me,” Anthony pleaded.
“Am I going to be OK?” Anthony asked the arresting officer at one point.
The footage is among a number of exhibits released after Anthony was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison.
In court, Anthony claimed he stabbed Metcalf with a folding knife in self-defense, a claim the jury rejected unanimously.
Surveillance footage was also released showing the moments before and after the stabbing.
The stabbing itself is not visible.
Witnesses testified that Anthony entered an opposing school team’s tent and refused to leave, despite being asked “fifteen times.”
After a brief confrontation, he stabbed the victim with a $13 Walmart knife.
