Young American beachgoers couldn’t answer basic questions about the nation’s founding or why the Fourth of July exists in a recent Jesse Watters Primetime segment.
Asked why the United States celebrates July 4th, one respondent replied, “Um, uh, I honestly couldn’t answer that.”
Another person replied that the United States was turning 58-years-old this year – despite the nation’s semiquincentennial fast approaching.
When asked which nation America declared independence from, one young man incredibly answered, “Mozambique, Africa.”
More perplexing incorrect responses were given to a question asking the name of the war fought to secure American independence, with some people responding the “French and Indian War,” and “World War II.”
Respondents were also asked the name of the general that led American forces to victory during the revolutionary war, with one person replying, “General Lee,” and another answering “Hitler.”
The question, “Who signed the Declaration of Independence?” also evoked wild answers, with one beachgoer saying, “William Shakespeare,” while others answered, “Abraham Lincoln,” “George Bush,” and even, “John Wick.”
Overall, only one female beachgoer was able to answer all the questions correctly, leaving serious concerns about the nation’s education system, as noted by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

A big part of he problem is the public education monopoly.
It’s a Freemason holiday isn’t it? Where the masons celebrate the pulling the wool over sheep’s eyes.
Those things are so staged. You can always find morons and then tell them to answer questions in a funny way. Besides, those chicks with the bikini bods don’t need brains to do the one thing they are good at.
Actual surveys show the same results.
Brain dead’s good for “heels-up” and not much else.
It’s when the Declaration of Independence was ratified and we declared independence from ole Georgy Porgy and Great Britain.
It’s when we celebrated my Grandmom’s birthday and still celebrate my brother-in-law’s. They were both born on the 4th of July.
It is a day for bangers on the grill.
Burning british flags in a pit to celebrate victory.
