Three ‘migrants’ who authorities believe are from Venezuela have been charged in the barbaric premeditated murder of a young man in Chicago weeks ago.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) just announced charges against the men, who all have ties to the international criminal network Tren de Aragua.

On May 18, the defendants kidnapped a man who was walking near Meyering Park on Chicago’s South Side and forced him into a vehicle, investigators say.

The victim was first transported to an apartment where his wrists were bound and then he was driven to an abandoned building.

The next day, the victim’s mother called Chicago police to request a wellness check at the abandoned building, telling them that someone messaged her on WhatsApp and directed her to the location.

Officers found the deceased victim face down inside an apartment in the building.

He had suffered blunt force injuries to his head, arms, neck, hands, and torso, and had also been shot several times.

“According to the complaint, the conspiracy to kidnap and murder the victim was carried out in connection with the defendants’ involvement in TdA. Since 2024, law enforcement in Chicago has been investigating acts of violence, including murders and shootings, involving suspected members of TdA and its splinter faction, Anti-Tren,” the DOJ explained.

Josue Pacheco Torres, 26, Julian Pachano, 19, and Kleiver Monasterio Briceno, 20have each been charged with kidnapping conspiracy and committing a kidnapping that resulted in death.

Pacheco Torres was wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet as a condition of his pretrial release in a criminal prosecution pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, at the time of the murder.

We frequently report on the nefarious activities of Tren de Aragua, which the Trump administration designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization in 2025.
