The U.S. State Department told Breitbart News this week that it will soon be releasing a report detailing the longstanding ties between Cuba’s Castro communist dynasty and the radical leftist movement in America, specifically tying the American Marxist organization Code Pink to the Cuban regime.
“The State Department will be issuing a report detailing the Cuban regime’s longstanding campaign to foment left-wing extremism in the United States and internationally,” a State Department official told Breitbart. “The report finds that for nearly seven decades, the Cuban regime has played an indispensable role in nearly every notable far-left insurgency, revolution, and militant movement across the Western Hemisphere and beyond.”
Regarding Code Pink, the DOS stated the group has been tied to Cuban communists “from its inception” with members regularly traveling to Havana and endorsing the movement to “free the Cuban Five” commies who infiltrated Miami anti-Castro groups, tracked U.S. military installations and helped the Cuban government shoot down two airplanes operated by Cuban exiles who opposed the Castro regime.
Between 2011 and 2014, Democrat U.S. President Barack Obama freed the Cuban Five, allowing them to return to their home country where they still reside and are hailed as national heroes.
The State Department noted that while Code Pink founder Medea Benjamin did live in Cuba from 1979 to 1983, the group largely focused on “opposing American military action against terrorists” up until 2017 when Code Pink organizer Jodie Evans married socialist billionaire Neville Roy Singham.
Singham, who lives in China, started a consulting business with partners in the publicity department of the Chinese Communist Party in 2019.
Singham’s father Archibald was born in Sri Lanka and became a member of the Maoist group the League of Revolutionary Black Workers after moving to Detroit, Michigan.
According to the DOS report, “In the years following the marriage – and a massive infusion of Singham cash – Code Pink rapidly shifted from a more conventional leftist anti-war group to a comprehensive, party-line advocate for the PRC and other anti-American foreign states. Evans, once a critic of Chinese human rights abuses, now describes Uyghurs as terrorists and defends their mass detention, while saying she ‘can’t, for the life of me, think of anything’ when asked if she had any criticisms of China.”
Most of Singham’s political war chest goes to a group called The People’s Forum, which is headed by frequent Cuba visitor and Castro supporter Manolo de los Santos.
Los Angeles’ Democrat Mayor Karen Bass also has deep ties to Communist Cuba, traveling to the nation in the 1970s at least 15 times, often alongside a communist group called the Venceremos Brigade.

Bass has also been caught working with communist Chinese officials to help get CCP operatives into positions of power in Los Angeles, according to Jones.
American communist political commentator Hasan Piker has been scrutinized for visiting Cuba and China, leading many to question whether he’s being funded by or directly working for the commie countries.
