Mexican Illegal Arrested for Raping Child in Indiana

An illegal alien charged with horrific sex crimes against a minor has been arrested in Indiana, authorities say.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just announced the apprehension of Javier Cereque-Perez, an adult male from Mexico.

In August 2024, Cereque-Perez was questioned during a domestic disturbance call after a child claimed he had sexually abused her at a “worksite” in Indianapolis.

At the time, a female juvenile told investigators that Cereque-Perez had sexually assaulted her inside a vehicle near Fishers, a city in Hamilton County.

“The minor also claimed during the interview that this was not the first time Cereque-Perez had done this to her, but could not specify how many times or when this occurred,” Fox 59 reports.

Cereque-Perez denied the accusations, but authorities later discovered evidence supporting the victim’s claims.

A warrant was issued for his arrest in December 2024, but he apparently remained on the loose until his arrest this month.

The FBI apprehended Cereque-Perez and he was turned over to local authorities to face charges for rape, sodomy, sexual battery, and sexual misconduct with a minor 14 or 15 years of age.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Cereque-Perez, who reportedly entered the U.S. at an unknown location and date.

“This illegal alien is charged with attempted rape, sexual misconduct with a child, and sexual battery after he allegedly tried to rape a child in 2024,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis.

“Thanks to our law enforcement partners at the federal and local levels, he will now face justice for his crimes. ICE has lodged a detainer asking officials in Indiana to turn him over to ICE custody so that he can be removed from our country, and can never prey on another innocent child again.”

Cereque-Perez is being held in custody of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on $50,000 bond.
