“We’ll Blow Them Up”: Trump Says Iranians Will Never Retrieve Buried Uranium Stocks

President Trump has warned that any Iranians trying to retrieve the country’s buried uranium stocks will be targeted and killed.

In an interview aired on Sunday, President Trump said Iran’s enriched uranium stocks, which are still believed to be buried after joint US-Israeli attacks on the nuclear facilities at Fordau, Isfahan and Natanz, are under constant surveillance by US Space Force.

“We’ll get that at some point, whenever we want. We have it surveilled,” Trump said.

“I did a thing called Space Force, and they are watching. If somebody walked in, they can tell you his name, his address, the number of his badge … If anybody got near the place, we will know about it, and we’ll blow them up.”

Iran’s ambition to have nuclear weapons remains one of the main sticking points in ongoing negotiations to end the war, which began at the end of February.

The US wants all enriched uranium to be removed from Iran, but Tehran has stubbornly refused to surrender its domestic enrichment program.

In April, President Trump said Iran had agreed to allow the US to remove the enriched uranium—a claim that was quickly rubbished by Iran.

Trump told Reuters that the US would cooperate with Iran “at a nice leisurely pace, and go down and start excavating with big machinery” to retrieve the stockpiles.

Iran is estimated to have nearly 900lb of 60%-enriched uranium.

Uranium needs to be enriched to around 90% purity to be used in a nuclear weapon.

On Sunday, President Trump branded Iran’s latest peace proposal is “totally unacceptable.”

“I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called ‘Representatives.’ I don’t like it — TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

The President’s short response, which included no mention of the terms on offer, came within hours of Iran submitting the proposal.

Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency gave some indication of the terms, saying that the regime wanted talks to focus exclusively on bringing hostilities to an end and leave talks about Iran’s nuclear program for a later date.

The Epoch Times reports, “Iran’s response is focused on efforts to end the aggression on all fronts, including Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and to guarantee the security of shipping in the Persian Gulf, according to Iran’s state TV.

“A significant point of disagreement remains over the control of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s state TV said the strait has been under Iranian control since the early days of the war.

“Iran’s state TV said the country has indicated it is ready to reopen the strait if the war ends permanently and the United States lifts its sanctions and naval blockade.”

On Sunday, President Trump accused Iran of “playing games with the Untied States, and the rest of the World, for 47 years (DELAY, DELAY, DELAY!).”

“For 47 years the Iranians have been ’tapping’ us along, keeping us waiting, killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent, unarmed protestors, and laughing at our now GREAT AGAIN Country. They will be laughing no longer!”
