12. If we’re being honest, it’s been a long time since all of us lived in a true republic. As our 250th birthday as a nation approaches it is evident that we are ruled by oligarchs pretty much at all levels of government.
    I can’t say I’m surprised by the result, but again, I don’t live in Kentucky. Massie, like all politicians, is not perfect but he appeared to approach his position by attempting to follow the Constitution and putting America first when it mattered most. What one can take away from this is that money and power is king whether it comes from America or elsewhere. I don’t know why any ethical American would want to run for office on any level knowing what you would be up against. It’s small wonder no one trusts anyone anymore and that many of us are cynical about the future of this country. Our leaders only care about themselves. There is nowhere to turn. I hope to be dead before I witness the full incineration of this country that my flesh and blood fought for.
