A former Palestinian prisoner has told RT that Israeli Defense Forces locked him in a coffin-like box for 15 days in order to torture him after he refused to become an informant.
I was held in “an iron container with a wooden box inside it,” former Palestinian prisoner Iman Nabhan alleged.
He said his hands and feet were tied, and that Israelis fed him through a hole in the box. They occasionally took him out of the box to use the toilet.
“It seemed they wanted to make me feel like I was dead so they could get whatever information they wanted,” Nabhan said. “I stayed inside that coffin for 15 days. I felt like I was alive in a dead body.”
As part of a “carrot and stick” approach, the man was not only subjected to living in a box, but offered money, foreign travel and medical treatment opportunities for his mother. He refused these offers, as he rejected becoming an informant.
Israel has been accused of numerous human rights abuses since they began the genocide of Gaza.
The accusations included alleged anal rape, torture targeting the genitals and ejaculation into the anus of detainees, as well as the claim Israelis allowed a dog to anally rape a prisoner. Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said:
The new report, titled “Another genocide behind walls”, documents widespread patterns of sexual violence, including rape, against detainees from the Gaza Strip, describing it as a tool of destruction aimed at breaking individual and collective will and inflicting severe physical and psychological harm. The report cites direct sexual assault, assault with objects, and torture targeting the genitals, as well as organised practices such as filming and the presence of multiple security personnel during assaults, which reinforces evidence of the institutional and systematic nature of these crimes.

In one testimony to Euro-Med Monitor, 43-year-old Wajdi, who spent a year in detention, recounted being repeatedly raped by soldiers and a dog during interrogation.
He said, “During interrogation, they tied me naked to a metal bed, and one of the soldiers asked me how many Israeli women I had raped in Israel. I denied that I had even entered Israel. Then a soldier raped me. I felt severe pain in my anus and screamed, but every time I screamed, I was beaten. This continued for several minutes, while soldiers filmed and mocked me.
“The soldier left after ejaculating inside me. I was left in a humiliating position. I wished for death. I was bleeding,” Wajdi added.
Israeli abuse continues to make the headlines. This month Australians who were detained as part of a Gaza aid flotilla alleged that they were raped by soldiers of the Jewish State.
Australian activists who part in the Gaza aid flotilla (the Global Sumud Flotilla) are accusing Israeli security forces of rape and torture following their apprehension in mid-May. The Israeli prison service denied these accusations.
Last week Israel detained 430 volunteers from 40 countries who were aboard 50 boats in international waters. The flotilla was en-route to deliver aid supplies to the Gaza Strip.
“That was just the beginning of four days of absolute hell. I’ve looked into the eyes of the most soulless people in the universe, and nothing came back. These people need to be stopped,” documentary filmmaker Juliet Lamont alleged.
“I was dragged into a darkened container ship on a prison boat. I was sexually assaulted. I was beaten,” she claimed.
“Ben-Gvir, who oversees Israel’s prison system, has repeatedly taken a hard line on Palestinians, championing legislation mandating hanging for those accused of terrorism, and claiming that detainees should receive “the minimum of the minimum” in food,” RT said.
