The U.S. and Iran have came to an agreement on a 60-day memorandum of understanding [MOU] to extend the ceasefire, during which time the governments will hold negotiations over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. President Donald Trump must still sign off on the plan, however the last time he moved close to a peace proposal Israel stopped him.
According to Axios, citing two unnamed U.S. officials and a regional source involved in the mediation efforts, the details of a temporary agreement which would put a hold on hostilities has been agreed to by teams from both Washington and Tehran.
If Trump agrees to the plan, and Israel doesn’t stop him, shipments through the Strait of Hormuz will resume.
A U.S. official told Axios that this means no tolls will be collected and no harassment of vessels will be permitted. Iran will also have to remove all its mines from the strait within 30 days.
The deal would also result in the U.S. naval blockade being lifted, which would take place “in proportion to the restoration of commercial shipping,” according to a U.S. official cited by Axios.
The proposed plan also requires Iran to commit to not pursuing a nuclear weapon, the officials told Axios.
The first issues which will be negotiated between Washington and Tehran during the 60-day ceasefire window will be how to dispose of the Islamic Republic’s highly enriched uranium as well as how to address the country’s enrichment operations.
The MOU would also see Washington discuss relieving its sanctions against Iran as well as releasing frozen Iranian funds.
The deal also includes a discussion for a mechanism aimed at helping Iran to start receiving goods, as well as humanitarian aid.
On Tuesday Alex Jones Live host Harrison Smith detailed how Israel derailed Trump’s Friday peace plan over the weekend.

Right on cue, this is nothing more than the weekly market manipulation by heavily injected propaganda for the DC insider traders. Stop complaining because your financial suffering is merely peanut to all of them
No, he needs Netanyahu’s approval. Stop telling me that there’s no dirt on Trump in the Epstein files. If Netanyahu can make him dance like this, there’s some heavy stuff in there.
“If Trump agrees to the plan, and Israel doesn’t stop him, shipments through the Strait of Hormuz will resume.”
This is terrifying to think this sentence is actually accurate and 100% true in 2026. We are a nation occupied by agents of a foreign government!!!
Donald Duck has to check in with massa, Benji Netanyahu
Israel will stop Trump. This has happened a few times. Each time, Trump makes a bigger fool of himself.
I agree with Alex’s analysis that Trump was doing some good things the first year, and now is failing.
Trump is going to go down in American history as one of the worst Presidents ever. He all but guaranteed it with his actions the last 6 months or so. Ever since he started fighting against releasing the Epstein files and trying to smear the only good people in Congress, I knew it was over. Now he is just a lapdog for Netanyahu. Before the term is over, he’ll probably be wearing a collar and leash and walking on all fours…
You mean Israel’s final approval.
