Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt clapped back at Jimmy Kimmel after the ABC/Disney late night host rented a U-Haul truck for the former reality TV star to leave LA, as election results show him losing the race.
In a tone-deaf stunt Tuesday night, Kimmel celebrated Pratt’s defeat over a week after the primary was held, calling on him to hold firm to claims that he would leave LA if he lost, and renting a U-Haul truck for Pratt to pack his belongings.
“He said he was done with LA. And Spencer, if you’re watching, we are so so sorry to see you go. But we do know we’re going to miss the hell out of you. You’re a man of your word and you’ve got to go. You said you were going to go,” Kimmel said.
“And I know things might be tight right now, especially out-of-state donation money is running out. Moving is expensive,” he continued. “So, to help you out, um, we rented you a U-Haul. It has plenty of room.”
Pratt, whose candidacy was sparked by his home burning down in last year’s Palisades wildfires, shot back at Kimmel with footage of rubble where his home used to stand.
“Jimmy Kimmel i guess you missed the part of the story i don’t need a U-Haul … I have nothing left to pack,” Pratt wrote.
The exchange follows Pratt’s sudden slip into third place this week behind Democrat city councilwoman Nithya Raman, as vote tallies in the city were delayed for longer than a week, with President Donald Trump blasting Democrats for stealing the vote.
A citizen journalist recently visited LA’s Skid Row where he found several homeless people attesting they received payment to vote for incumbent Democrat Mayor Karen Bass and Raman.
The stunt followed an undercover report last March by James O’Keefe, who disguised himself as a homeless person to get dirt on a Democrat scheme paying bums for votes in Los Angeles.
