Disturbing footage out of Brazil showed the moment a young woman plunged to her death from a bridge while rope jumping after workers failed to secure her safety harness.
The incident happened Saturday at the “Skeleton Bridge” in Limeira, with video showing workers lifting 21-year-old Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas over their heads and tossing her from the 130-foot-high bridge, as onlookers screamed, “Guys, the rope!”

First responders confirmed the woman’s death when they arrived, with her fiancé also needing to be hospitalized after becoming ill in the aftermath of the accident, Brazilian outlet O Globo reported.
Two men later fled into the woods and were located via a police helicopter, as six people were arrested and taken into custody. The three workers seen in the video reportedly face homicide with implied malice charges.
A police detective told local media the men organized the event despite not being authorized to be on the bridge and did not follow basic safety protocols, making them liable for their activities and the woman’s death.
Rodrigues de Freitas was reportedly a resident of Sao Paolo and had recently graduated with a degree in Physical Education and Sports Management.

Eerily, a post to her Instagram page shortly before the tragic incident reportedly joked, “Who was the crazy person who let me jump off a bridge?”

The multiple people filming the entire scenario waited until after they tossed her to react to the rope that remain very visibly unattached.
Maybe they were so hypnotized by her obvious beauty that they missed a beat.
