Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that his nation’s military will continue its operations in Southern Lebanon for as long as he demands, blatantly spitting in the face of President Trump and the recent peace deal between America and Iran.
“We will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon for as long as necessary to protect the cherished residents of the north and all the citizens of Israel,” Netanyahu said. “Nothing will alter that commitment.”

The PM also claimed Israel recently carried out two major strikes against Iran, but failed to provide further details about the alleged attacks.
Netanyahu’s remarks came just days after President Trump told Axios he’s had to try to keep the Israeli prime minister “sane” and that he thought “Bibi” would refrain from attacking Lebanon after the peace deal.
Questioned on his ability “to control Israel from attacking Lebanon,” President Trump said he believes they’ll refrain because, “They have a lot of respect for me, and they do as I say.”
However, within hours of the president’s Axios interview being released, the Israelis conducted intense airstrikes across southern Lebanon that resulted in nearly 50 deaths and about 100 injuries.
Alex Jones commented on the attacks Saturday morning, writing, “Trump tells Israel’s leadership to stop bombing Lebanon and Benjamin Netanyahu instantly responds by carpet bombing Christian southern Lebanon to kill the Iran peace deal and to take the land..”
The Washington Post on Friday reported Netanyahu is likely to continue sabotaging Trump admin peace negotiations, citing U.S. intelligence reports.
The outlet stated, “U.S. intelligence agencies have warned the Trump administration that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is likely to take steps that will undermine President Donald Trump’s effort to reach a lasting peace deal with Iran, as the Israeli premier faces intense political pressure to continue waging his country’s war in Lebanon, current and former U.S. officials said.”
Iran announced Saturday that the Strait of Hormuz would be closed following the Israeli violation of the peace deal.
Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance and other American officials are in Switzerland negotiating with the Iranians this weekend.
President Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Saturday, “There will be NO TOLLS in the Hormuz Strait for 60 days during the Cease Fire Period, and there will be NO TOLLS after the 60 day period has expired, unless they are imposed by and for the United States of America, should the deal not be completed, for services rendered as the Guardian Angel to the countries of the Middle East for purposes of both past, present, and future reimbursement of costs.”
The president also reportedly threatened the Iranian regime, saying, “You close it and you won’t have a country.” President Trump said he told Iranian officials about the Strait of Hormuz. “You won’t even make it back to your fu*king country. We may take over the Strait, if we have to. If they don’t make a deal, we’ll collect tolls.”
On Sunday morning, POTUS appeared to side with Israel regarding Lebanon, claiming Iranian proxies in the nation are “causing trouble.”
“Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he wrote.
