Chicago, Illinois, suffered another violent streak over the past two days, with at least 33 people shot and five killed on Friday and Saturday.
Security footage captured one mass shooting at a Juneteenth celebration where around 13 people were injured during a drive-by.
In addition to the Juneteenth party shooting, 14 other incidents took place during the first two days of the weekend.
President Trump blasted Democrat Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and suggested the federal government could fix the blue city’s mess, writing on Truth Social Sunday, “Lots of Killing going on in Chicago. 22 people shot, at least 4 Dead. Why isn’t Governor Pritzker calling me for help. I could make Chicago a safe City in ONE MONTH, in ONE YEAR, it would be one of the safest!!! D.C. went from one of the worst, to one of the safest cities in the U.S. President DJT.”
The Chicago Police Department‘s own data shows an 8% increase in homicides so far this year.
Governor Pritzker posted a Father’s Day message on social media, but failed to address the deadly shootings or President Trump’s criticism.

these guys are horrific shots. shoot 20 people and only kill 2? with some training, they can shoot 20 and kill 10!
