The reason people in NY are voting for socialists is because the economy is a rigged game of crony capitalism in favor of the big corporations. They’re not wrong in identifying the problem. The founder complained about similar systems in their day. That’s why for profit corporations had to serve a specific public purpose and were rare. This held until the early 1900s. Socialism is not the correct solution though. Both parties work for these big corporation and billionaires.
Here are a number of ways we can improve the economy and level the playing field:
1. to get money out of politics
2. end company stock buybacks
3. break-up these oligopolies, duopolies and monopolies (we have a bit of each an almost every industry).
4. get rid of at-will employment for larger companies (there should be a good reason)
5. make it illegal for investment companies to own all other companies
6. pay down the national debt and make it illegal to go too far into debt, and have a gold backed currency.
7. End the FED
8. Eliminate ALL income, sales, and property taxes!

Oil should be $100+ per barrel. Its used in almost every product and field known to man. Costs millions of dollars to drill 1 well now. They’re manipulating the price to drive independent oil companies under and give the illusion that economies are strong.
