DHS Slams Gov. Walz For Pardon of Illegal Alien Child Sex Abuser Set To Be Deported

The Department of Homeland Security blasted Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for pardoning a soon-to-be-deported illegal alien convicted of heinous child sex crimes.

In a blistering X post Wednesday, DHS slammed Walz’s pardon of Tou Lue Vang, 42, despite the fact he “REPEATEDLY SEXUALLY ASSAULTED A 10-YEAR-OLD.”

“On June 10, the Minnesota Board of Pardons voted to grant Tou Lue Vang, from Laos, a pardon for his 2006 convictions for sexual assault—strongarm sodomy and procuring a child for prostitution,” DHS wrote.

“This pardon came just a week before Vang was set to be REMOVED from our nation.”

According to DHS, Vang attempted to justify his actions to police saying “it is a cultural thing…to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12.”

“Governor Walz’s pardon shielded this CHILD RAPIST from removal from our nation,” DHS added. “This is the type of DISGUSTING criminal sanctuary politicians are shamelessly protecting.”

Vang reportedly “came to the United States as a child,” according to The New York Times, and evidently  avoided prison entirely for his crimes with a 30-year probation plea deal.

The NYT writes Vang submitted a letter to the Minnesota Board of Pardons “expressing regret for the actions that led to his 2005 conviction, and said a pardon could help him stay in the country with his wife and six children.”

“Mr. Vang’s victim, who was 10 when the abuse began, also submitted a letter supporting the pardon,” the NYT added.

The pardon purged the conviction from Vang’s record, providing a way to challenge the deportation.
