A Venezuelan illegal unleashed into the U.S. by the Biden regime has been charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a very young child with severe disabilities in the sanctuary state of Illinois.
The shocking attack unfolded on June 26, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just released the suspect’s immigration history.
The victim was riding her bicycle in the village of Pingree Grove when she was grabbed by an adult male, forced into a vehicle, and sexually assaulted, authorities say.
An investigation led to the arrest of 41-year-old Janio Gionel Velasquez-Muro on June 30.
Velasquez-Muro was charged with aggravated kidnapping, predatory criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation of a child.
Charging records indicate the victim is “profoundly mentally retarded.”
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Velasquez-Muro, who was caught illegally crossing the southern border into California in 2022 and was subsequently released.
“This criminal illegal alien kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl. This monster abducted this child while she was riding her bike,” said DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis.
“DHS is calling on Governor J.B. Pritzker and his fellow sanctuary politicians to commit to not releasing this pedophile from jail, and to instead work with ICE to ensure he is never allowed to prey on more innocent children in our country. It’s common sense. Do NOT release illegal alien pedophiles from jail into American neighborhoods to victimize more children.”
