Seyed Mohammad Marandi, an American-born Iranian who serves as a mouthpiece for Tehran, said the regime is actually hoping the U.S. will launch a ground invasion as it would give them the advantage and lead to a victory in the ongoing war.
Marandi, whose father was the doctor of the second supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei, now teaches English Literature and Orientalism at the University of Tehran.
Appearing on Mario Nawfal’s podcast over the weekend, Marandi was asked if he believes the Trump administration is considering a ground invasion of Iran, which the Iranian loyalist and Nawfal both called, “insane, mental and crazy.”
“It would fail,” Marandi stated. “But, the bombings that they’re carrying out are being done as if they’re preparing for a ground offensive. So the targets and all that are basically preparing the area, the region, for a ground offense.”
“It’s crazy because it would fail, but also the humidity and the weather is just beyond imagination for ordinary people who have not been to that part of the world. It’s just I don’t know if it’s even possible,” he said, adding that he’s spoken with several former U.S. military officers who agreed a summer offensive would be unwise.

“Iran will try to kill as many soldiers as it can if America tries to kill as many Iranian soldiers as they can,” Marandi said.
Marandi then accused the U.S. of intentionally targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Iran, saying if they continue that Iran will launch strikes on Middle East airports.

On Monday, he posted to social media warning civilians to “evacuate Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and possibly Oman” completely as they’ll “become unlivable” once Iran launches attacks in response to alleged U.S. escalation.
The Iranian also joined political analyst Glenn Diesen this week to say the Iranians are awaiting a U.S. ground invasion.
Diesen said, “Whether they carry them out or not, we’ll see. But the Iranians, as you pointed out, the focus of Iranian strikes is on Bahrain and Kuwait, and that’s because that’s where most American assets have been placed for a ground invasion.”
Marandi told Diesen, “Iran has that advantage, and of course, it has been accumulating missiles and drones for decades now, and it is doing so even now. The Iranians are hitting very hard, and they are prepared for a land war. They’ve been preparing for decades.”
“The Iranians — we discussed this during the 40-day war before on your show — when I said that the Iranians actually want the Americans to carry out a land invasion, and the same is true now, because they felt that if there was a land invasion, they would win,” he added.
As Alex Jones has repeatedly warned, the world is rapidly climbing up the threat escalation ladder and on Sunday suggested it might be too late to reverse the dangerous course.

We just recently got out of Afghanistan, after being there for 20+ years…..now we’re going into Iran. The work is never done in the middle east when you’re working for Israel.
I hope Iran knows US citizens DO NOT support this war.
