An adult illegal alien is facing a slew of charges after he allegedly kidnapped and forcibly raped a young girl in Florida over the weekend.
Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies responded to a 911 call at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday in Englewood, a quiet beach community on the Gulf of America.
They located a 17-year-old female victim who had suffered injuries during a sexual assault and arrested Melchor Hernandez Alcaraz, 44, at the scene.
Alcaraz confessed to buying the teen alcohol before forcing her to have sexual intercourse with him, CCSO explained in a press release.
Alcaraz was charged with kidnapping, aggravated sexual battery on a minor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor by providing her alcohol.
Additionally, he was placed on a hold for Immigration and Customs Enforcement as he in the U.S. illegally.
“Here we are with yet another individual who couldn’t keep his hands off of a juvenile. I am running out of ways to say how disgusting sex crimes are, especially when there is a child involved. To make it even worse, this individual is in the US illegally… for now, anyway,” said Sheriff Bill Prummell.
“This should not have happened, and my heart goes out to the young lady and her family.”
