Austin, Texas, gun store owner Michael Cargill said in a video posted on social media Wednesday that he’s ready to sue media outlets that claimed a firearm stolen from his shop was used in a city-wide shooting spree by three teenagers.
During a recent interview with FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin, Cargill described a January encounter with one of the culprits who stole a gun from the store and fled onto a city bus that the shop owner was able to stop, enter the bus and get the Austin Police Department to arrest the thief.
“He’s actually a minor. It turns out he’s actually in the country illegally,” Cargill said of the suspect. “So, he just committed a felony and the judge and the district attorney release him back to his parents.”
“We caught him in January and he was charged with a felony and he was and is in the country illegally, but the Judge and Travis County DA released him into the custody of his parents which are also in the country illegally. The things the mainstream media won’t tell you,” Cargill wrote.
The gun store owner also joined Harrison Smith on the War Room this week to detail how the felon teenager was allowed to reoffend thanks to local leftist soft-on-crime policies.
After being let back on the streets, the teenage alien and a pair of his friends went on a shooting spree last weekend, stole several vehicles and shot four people.
On Saturday night, one of the teens stole a firearm from Cargill’s Central Texas Gunworks gun store and his staff called the police after losing the individual during a foot chase.
However, media outlets claimed without proof that the stolen firearm was the same one used in the shooting.
In a video filmed from inside his store on Wednesday, Cargill explained that the Austin Police Department and ATF cannot confirm if the weapon used in the shooting rampage was the same one that was stolen.
“Does the media have ballistics technology that I don’t know about?” he sarcastically asked.
🚨Breaking: @michaeldcargill says a gun was stolen from his store. But it is unconfirmed whether it was THE gun that was used in the shooting rampage around Austin. So why is the media saying it was his gun? And who does he need to sue? pic.twitter.com/c7YrOi7hzI

The business owner posted to social media, saying he’s “received about 50 death threats, with people quoting news stories and sending screenshots,” adding that he’s “suing the fuck out of every media outlet.”
