Watch: Ex-Navy SEAL Appears to Wear Rubber Face Mask In Fox News Interview

Social media users are claiming that a retired vice admiral wore a rubber mask during a recent Fox News appearance.

The theories followed a May 19, 2026, America’s Newsroom interview where retired Vice Admiral Robert Harward provided analysis discussing the Iran war.

In footage of the interview, Harward, an ex-Navy SEAL and former CENTCOM deputy commander, said Trump holds the cards in the Iran standoff and is in control of the narrative, with many claiming a dark shadow on the lower part of his neck suggested the retired admiral was wearing a rubber mask.

“Fox news just aired a man wearing a mask on LIVE TV!” exclaimed popular X account @DailyLoud in a post that accumulated 4.4 million views.

X users also posted side-by-side comparisons, arguing Harward’s appearance is vastly different from previous interviews he’s given.

Neither Fox News nor Harward have addressed the claims, however many suspect the dark spot on the vice admiral’s neck is merely the result of lighting or video compression.

UK tabloid Metro noted some were dissatisfied with the explanation, quoting one Reddit user as saying, “That is a very reasonable explanation and I don’t doubt that’s [sic] whats going on, but man no matter how hard I try I cannot see it as anything other than a mask.”
