In What Has Become A Twice-Daily Change, Trump Now Indicates His Iran War May NOT Be Over

TrumpSaysLookWhatICanDo

On Friday morning President Donald Trump indicated that his Iran war may not actually be ended in a social media post blasting the Islamic Republic and “fake news” reports (possibly from Axios). He specifically criticized Iran for striking Indian ships in the Strait of Hormuz in an incident that still has many questions surrounding it. Trump then reposted an announcement from Iranian diplomat Seyed Abbas Araghchi saying the U.S-Iran “Memorandum of Understanding has never been closer” when Thursday night’s narrative was “we ended the war with Iran today.”

The terms that Iran leaked out to the Fake News have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing. What they said, including their weak and pathetic statement on having a deal, bears no relation to the truth. Very dishonorable people to deal with. With them, there is no such thing as dealing in good faith. AMAZING! Also, their totally rebuffed Drone attack last night against Indian Ships leaving the Hormuz Strait is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. They better get their act together, and FAST! President DONALD J. TRUMP

There is still some ambiguity regarding the Indian ships which were allegedly struck, but CENTCOM admitted to disabling non-compliant ships in the Gulf.

“However, it is interesting to note that the U.S. military had admitted to disabling MT Settebello and accused it of violating the American blockade by ‘attempting to transport oil from Iran’,” NDTV said.

“This comes as 3 oil tankers carrying dozens of Indian sailors have been caught up in recent U.S. military operations in the region. On June 8, US forces disabled the Palau-flagged tanker Marivex, which had 24 Indian crew members on board. All of them were rescued safely,” India Today said. “Two days later, another Palau-flagged tanker, Settebello, came under a U.S. strike. The vessel was carrying 24 Indian sailors, and three of them were killed in the attack. A third tanker, Jalveer, sailing under the Guinea-Bissau flag with 20 Indian crew members aboard, was also attacked on Thursday. In response to escalating threats, India summoned U.S. Charg d’Affaires Jason Meeks for the second time this week after another merchant vessel carrying Indian crew members came under attack off the coast of Oman. The American diplomat was called in by the Additional Secretary (Americas) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).”

According to top Iranian diplomat Araghchi the deal is not yet finalized:

Vice President JD Vance elaborated on the deal with Iran not yet being finalized:

I’m seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal to reopen the Strait and end Iran’s nuclear weapons program. First, the Iranians are not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting. The deal is structured to ensure that the US and its allies concerns are prioritized, and that if the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region. This deal has the potential to remake the region and lead to lasting peace.

I’ve noticed a couple of bizarre things in the reporting over the last few hours. First, people who (rightly) said Donald Trump was a historic president a month ago now criticizing a deal based on unconfirmed media reports. Second, people who say you can’t trust a word said by the IRGC who apparently believe anonymously sourced social media posts.

The president is going to get us a good outcome, one way or the other.

While Friday morning brings possible news of more war, the war was over Thursday night.

“I don’t know if you heard, but we ended the war with Iran today, and they have agreed never to have a nuclear weapon, something that we insisted on. That was the whole purpose,” Trump said.

Earlier in the day the President was preparing to escalate the war after declaring Iran’s military to be completely destroyed on Wednesday. He later canceled the planned strikes. Then the war was over, now it’s not.

The President has already declared victory for months, but on Monday he also said he will declare victory again in the next couple weeks.

“We’ve been a very tough team, and I think we are winning that battle. But you’re really going to win it over the next two weeks when we declare total victory. It’ll be a total victory. It’ll happen very soon, and oil prices will come tumbling down,” Trump said Monday.

Trump also announced the Iran war was over in April:

A big day for World Peace! Iran wants it to happen, they’ve had enough! Likewise, so has everyone else! The United States of America will be helping with the traffic buildup in the Strait of Hormuz. There will be lots of positive action! Big money will be made. Iran can start the reconstruction process. We’ll be loading up with supplies of all kinds, and just “hangin’ around” in order to make sure that everything goes well. I feel confident that it will. Just like we are experiencing in the U.S., this could be the Golden Age of the Middle East!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP
