Chaos erupted in the streets of New York City Saturday night after the New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, clinching the championship.
Footage shows Knicks fans destroying a school bus in the middle of a street as the bus’s driver tried desperately to defend the vehicle, telling the rioters it would be “coming out of my paycheck.”
The crowd later set a bus on fire.
The pandemonium engulfed people just trying to leave the area, with brawls also erupting in the subway.
At one point, gunshots rang out causing everyone to run for cover.
The violent celebrations left trash littered throughout the streets and destruction in their wake.
NYPD arrested 63 people following Saturday night’s anarchy, with at least 15 people charged with crimes, while 10 cops were injured, four people were stabbed and a 17 year-old boy shot in the foot, according to the New York Post.
The rowdy festivities came as Saturday night’s victory ended the Knicks’ 53-year championship drought, after winning their last title in 1973.

Yeah the new NYC leadership loves, encourages and even rewards the behavior. We deserve everything that’s coming down the pipe and the hoards of lowest common denominators are what you want to avoid all together. Vegas odds probably say it’s NOT a peace deal or a golden age for America.

That is a weak display by Knicks fans and no where near enough violence to enact some real change.
