Trump invokes Defense Production Act as U.S. munitions stockpiles dwindle
President Trump has invoked the Cold War-era Defense Production Act to spur the production of more munitions, stockpiles of which have dwindled amid the U.S. war against Iran and years of heavy American military aid to allies such as Ukraine and Israel.
In a June 11 memo addressed to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, made public this week, Mr. Trump said it was necessary to invoke the 1950 law.
“I hereby find that conditions exist which may pose a direct threat to the national defense or its preparedness programs,” the memo says. “In particular, systemic constraints in the munitions industrial base, including limited production capacity, fragile supply chains, long-lead dependencies, and related production bottlenecks, may impair the ability of the United States to produce, sustain, and expand the availability of munitions, missiles, and equipment required for the national defense.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he spent four and a half hours with President Trump on Friday, and outlined that if an Iran deal fails, he expects “President Trump is going to take the Strait of Hormuz over by force.”
“The United States will control the Strait of Hormuz, we’ll charge a fee for all those who go through to pay for the operation, and we’re going to expand the Abraham Accords in calendar year 2026,” Graham said.
When one puts all of this together that is shown on Mike Adams program, along with what Michael Yon said, Trump is trying to make this as bad as possible, not verbatim. along with Defense Production Act being invoked, one could conclude that
Its going to get really bad and he’s doing this on purpose
Iran had agreed to inspection under Obama
Trump deserves the low rating, and he is not recovering while he still engages is childish tantrums.
The way he treated Meloni, and his tantrum to Iran this weekend, are one of many examples. Trump is preventing himself from doing a good job. Trump has sabotaged the economy for Israel, caused a war, drove away his biggest supporters, and so on. I cannot imagine Trump will recover. He already ruined the first half of his term.
How about NASA develop a way to push away asteroids, instead of predicting doom? A problem is, I doubt corrupt NASA is capable of it.
