Footage captured the moment a vehicle slammed into a leftist protester waving an upside-down flag at an ICE protest over the weekend.
The incident happened on Father’s Day outside of New Jersey’s Delaney Hall in Newark, where anti-ICE protests have been ongoing for weeks.
Video shows a black-clad woman waving an upside-down American flag – a symbol of distress – as she flipped off detention center workers from beyond a zone marked, “No trespassing.”
Suddenly, a red Dodge Challenger entering the facility clips her in the waist, hurling her to the ground, as other demonstrators shout and go help her.
Following the incident, the woman got up from the ground and appeared to again flip off workers.
PIX 11 reports the woman from Minnesota was not seriously injured and did not seek medical care.
The car was reportedly driven by an employee of the GEO Group which runs the facility, according to The New York Post.
The footage came as demonstrators gathered for a “free the dads” protest over the Father’s Day holiday.
Demonstrators have been protesting outside the facility since late May after detainees reportedly went on a hunger strike, with some turning violent and culminating in arrests after protesters assaulted federal officers.
