Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico is being blasted this week after audio of a 2021 podcast appearance was spread online, highlighting the politician’s far-left ideology.
Talking with podcast host Roberto Henderson-Espinoza, who is described as a “’TransQueer, Latinx’ activist theologian,” Talarico described his religious beliefs.
“I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity, you know? And, I always get drawn back into it,” he bizarrely stated.
Unreal.

He also said, “It’s very strange every time I think about it that the most popular figure in our country, particularly on the conservative right, is this socialist anarchist from ancient Palestine,” referring to Jesus Christ.

“I told you I was a boring, straight, cis white man, and I added ‘Presbyterian’ to spice it up,” Talarico told the podcast host. “My imagination is also just limited by my own background and identity, my whiteness, my masculinity. All those things limit my imagination about what’s possible.”

The Texas Democrat then told Henderson-Espinoza, “When you started following me on Twitter, I couldn’t contain my inner fan boy, because I read your book last year and it continues to inspire me and y’all’s work continues to inspire me.”
The book, Activist Theology, “bridges the gap between academia and activism, bringing the wisdom of the streets to the work of scholarship, all for the sake of political liberation and social change for marginalized communities,” according to its description on Amazon.
Talarico’s comments do not align with the beliefs held by a majority of Texas voters, who are largely Christian and conservative.
Additionally, the podcast appearance exposes the Senate candidate as a far-left politician as he desperately tries to paint himself as a moderate, understanding an über liberal would have trouble staying relevant in a Texas election.

I bet his husban is proud of him
I don’t like either candidate out of the Democrats and Republicans. Both will vote on a bill to ID everyone going online to prove you’re not underage. That’s a hard no for me. I’ll vote for the Libertarian candidate.
Get these demons out of here
