Ukraine struck the oil terminal that serves the Russian capital, Moscow, for the second time this month, as President Zelensky looks to force President Putin to the negotiating table.
The strike is part of a new 40-day “influence operation” that aims to bring war—which has now rumbled on for longer than the First World War—to an end.
Multiple drones hit the Vtorovo station, 140 miles east of Moscow, according to Ukraine’s military intelligence.
In a post on Telegram, the intelligence service said, “Each affected facility means fewer resources for waging war and a higher price the Kremlin is forced to pay for continuing the aggression.”
The station, run by the state-owned Transneft, supplies diesel fuel to depots around the Russian capital, airports and export hubs on the Baltic.
It was previously hit on 10 June.
Ukraine also targeted a key industrial facility in Volgograd yesterday, using long-range Flamingo missiles.
The Titan-Barrikady plant, 550 miles from the Ukrainian border, is used to make artillery.
“Every Russian defense facility that serves the war against Ukraine is a just target,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X.
“The reach of Ukraine’s long-range weapons continues to expand. And it is precisely our pressure, day after day, that lays the groundwork for a dignified peace in the end.”
President Zelensky announced the new “influence operation” this week, with the aim of “compelling [Russia] to end the war” through highly targeted strikes on key facilities within Russia.
It has been reported that President Trump is now reconsidering his understanding with President Putin, agreed in Alaska last year, that Ukraine would be required to cede the Donbas region to Russia.
Russia has responded to Ukraine’s offensive in kind, striking targets across the country with thousands of drones, guided bombs and missiles.

It may be time for the Russian people to wake up to the fact that their government has sold them out too and are part of the world government plan. It is a conclusion that is becoming too obvious to ignore any longer.
These wars are exposing the fact that the strength and capabilities of “superpowers” has been nothing but a facade or grand psyop for at least the last half century. Think of all the Trillions of dollars wasted on defense spending for the net negative results of wars from Afghanistan all the way to present day. Weak, impotent and unsatisfactory are the only descriptions applicable. Was it worth the towering costs which continue to mount today?
