A black woman won a contest in Philadelphia Friday where participants tried their best to look like Founding Father Benjamin Franklin.
The contest filled with Franklin doppelgangers took place in the city’s historic downtown district in front of the iconic Liberty Bell monument despite scorching temps over 110 degrees.
Embed from Getty ImagesAround 30 costumed Franklins entered the contest of varying races, ages, and genders wearing hand-custom wigs and bald caps, with some donning tricorn hats, spectacles, canes and other garnishments reminiscent of Franklin’s documented attire and era.

Why is this news or a surprise as Philadelphia is now predominately black? Why does anyone care about this BS at all?
