President Donald Trump delivered an address at the NATO summit in Turkey on Wednesday, criticizing global leaders for refusing to join the U.S./Israel war with Iran as well and vowing to give Ukraine a license to make Patriot air defense systems.
“We’ll give them the right to make Patriots. We’ll show them how to do it,” Trump said of Ukraine.
While backing Ukraine in its war with Russia, POTUS also said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin days before meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Turkey and that both parties “want to see a settlement.”
“This is, this is a tough one, but I just, you know we just had our NATO meeting, and it was a great meeting,” Trump told reporters. “You probably heard it was a great meeting. It was a lot of, there was a lot of love in that room, a lot of unity.”
Touching on the Iran war, the president said he’s finished trying to negotiate with Iran after America and Tehran traded blows in recent days, saying, “To me, I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They’re scum. They’re sick people. They’re led by sick people, and they’re vicious, violent people. And if they had a nuclear weapon, they’d use it. As far as I’m concerned, it’s all over.”

Sitting beside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, President Trump admitted he’s “not happy with NATO because of the fact they didn’t want to help” with the Iran war and have pushed back against his agenda to acquire Greenland.
Spain was specifically called out by the president as a “terrible partner in NATO” because they “don’t participate” and “don’t pay.”
“I don’t want anything to do with Spain,” he stated, suggesting America will be cutting off all trade with the nation.
Rutte praised Trump for speaking his mind and not being another yes-man.

Trump said he was going to end the Ukraine war on day 1. Here were are, 2 1/2 years later, teaching Ukraine how to build our Patriot missile defense systems.
