The FBI New York Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating a terror attack in Manhattan on Monday after an anti-ICE leftist set off an incendiary device outside a federal building used by the FBI, ICE and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Footage of the suspect being arrested has been posted online:

Law enforcement said the culprit carried two pellet rifles, carbon dioxide cartridges, and wore a helmet with halogen lighting.

The incendiary device was reportedly created using fireworks and was put in a trashcan near the building, injuring four people and sending one to a nearby hospital.

“This morning an individual deployed an incendiary device outside of 26 Federal Plaza. The individual has been taken into custody and the FBI New York Office is investigating the incident,” the FBI said in a statement to Newsweek.

NYC’s socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted about the incident on social media, writing, “What occurred outside 26 Federal Plaza this morning was deeply disturbing. I’m relieved no one was seriously injured and that a suspect is in custody. My team is in touch with the NYPD and we will support the federal investigation. Our administration will continue to ensure that every New Yorker is safe in their city — and hold accountable any who threaten that.”

Just last week, Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosted delegations from 65 countries in Washington to coordinate a specialized international response to combat what the Trump administration describes as a “resurgence” of far-left political terrorism.
