A Turkish national who illegally entered the U.S. multiple times under the Biden regime is facing charges for the alleged rape of a 6-year-old girl at a California daycare where he was employed, authorities say.
The horrifying abuse reportedly unfolded in July 2025, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just released the suspect’s immigration background this week.
Only July 15, 2026, the victim’s family filed a lawsuit against Mather Childcare Center, located in Sacramento county.
At the time, Gokhan Bagci (now 27) was working at the facility, which is owned by his uncle and primarily caters to the local Turkish immigrant community, the Sacramento Bee reports.
The suit alleges that Bagci, who has been in local custody since his arrest in August 2025, lured the child into a closet under the guise of playing hide-and-seek.
Bagci allegedly molested the child and then brought her into a bathroom where he brutally raped her.
The victim told her parents about the attack and authorities were notified.
Bagci was arrested by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 22 and charged with four felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child younger than 14 by force or fear.
Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against Bagci, but it is unclear if it will be honored by authorities in the sanctuary jurisdiction.
Bacgi was caught after illegally crossing the southern border on November 21, 2023, but was released into the interior by Customs and Border Protection, despite being “completely unvetted,” DHS says.
Weeks later, he flew back to Istanbul only to cross the U.S. border again in September 2024.
The lawsuit alleges Bacgi was left unsupervised with children at the daycare for long periods of time while his uncle slept or worked on a computer, leading investigators to suspect there may be more victims.
Bacgi is being held on $200,000 bail at the Sacramento County Main Jail.
