  1. Matt is smart, practical and a great communicator.

    He covered all main aspects of the situation. Iran is an independent and unified nation. It produces its own missiles and food. It gets supplies inland from Russia and China. It has a secure underground network of armaments. There is no way our USA can take Kharg without many thousands killed and ships sunk. The Iranian military is ready for invasion, it would fight to the end. Iran can keep the Hormuz oil line closed a long time.

    A thing Trump is most stubborn about is ending this situation as a hero. That is his goal #1. Also, he does not want to be Kirked over abandoning Israel.
